Wood purchase

I have purchased some red hardwood from totem timber in Plymouth. I chose this wood because if it is waxed correctly it can have a similar look to ebony wood. I feel that this wood will work well for it looks dark and has a nice natural pattern to it.

I was forced to compromise on the wood type due to finance issues for even when buying off cuts of ebony wood it would still have cost me double the amount..

I will most likely use other recycled wood offcuts for the majority of the build but will definatly be using this wood as a backup if i ever lack materials from the off cut bin.
