Mercyworks is a comic book series published by the man Dave Mercier. He uses a simplistic cartoony art style, using bright colours and cell shading he makes his work seem light heartedly funny when it actually includes fairly dark jokes in it.
The comical style chosen is often a relatable style of comedy. Things like everyday problems that have been either exaggerated or made comical. He uses famous figures from TV as focal points in some skits and will sometimes write about serious political matters in his comics like religion, gay marriage, social injustice etc.
Mercyworks creation has been strongly affected by the internet. He began by writing small sketches for companies like collage humour then started writing his own strips and has now gone on to publish is own book called the joy of despair which includes all of his comics.

He uses modern media as a source for a lot of his sketches for example he has taken popular like the Fonz, Hulk Hogan and even game characters like Mario and has used them in his sketches.
Huge cartoons is an online comic series moderated by Ardtron and GNICE. He uses a very stylized cartoony art style, using lots of light colours to match the light hearted comedy used in the strips.
The style of comedy he uses is random and extremely simple comedy. This makes the comic more aimed towards a younger audience. Occasionally they will write about political events in his comics to help spread awareness on certain subjects.
Huge Cartoons has been strongly affected by the internet for all of its work is being distributed over the internet instead of it being printed and sent out. This allows them to get direct feedback on their comics but they do not make as much money. They have also been effected by things like Americas debt problems for they constantly poke fun at it in their comics.
The main things that would have effected huge cartoons would be the internet and donation sites such as Patreon for it allows them to earn money online without having to distribute their comics. They would have also been effected by American politics for they often use it as material for some of their comics.
Maximumble is a small comic strip artist that has only recently made his own site. He utilizes online comic sites like tapastic top publicise his work. He uses a minimalistic art style using black and white in all of his work and using thick black lines to only draw outlines of the characters. This could have been done to reflect its simplistic comedy style.
He tends to use made up characters from things like films or other comics like the alien from Aliens or Spiderman from the Spiderman comics often poking fun at aspects from these characters. He also does some slice of life comedy using things like office life as the focus for some of his sketches.
Maximumble would have been effected the most by the media for that is the focus for the vast majority of their comedy. The internet also holds a strong part in the comic series for without it Chris Hallenbeck would have no method of distributing his comic.
The thing all three of the comic artists have in common is how they were strongly affected by the popularity of the internet and without it they would not exist.
