My chosen artist is Dave Mercier from Mercworks. His art style is simplistic yet iconic. He simplifies things like eyes and mouth while keeping things like clothes and ears fairly detailed. He tends to use realistic colours and uses simplistic cell shading in order to add depth to his characters. His backgrounds are normally very simplistic with either just a block colour background or keep small additions like furniture depending on if the location is important or not.
His comedy style normally pokes fun at things like corporate companies other comics and celebrities but his comedy normally focuses on relatable jokes and random skits with no real meaning. His comedy is light hearted but can and will often go down a darker route.
